About

The story and approach behind Momentum Wellbeing.

Helping you build habits that support the life you want to live

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by health and nutrition and how our everyday choices influence how we feel, live, and thrive.

Over time, I've come to appreciate how connected our health behaviors are, and how changes in one area can influence others. I've also seen that for many people, wanting to make a change is only part of the equation. The bigger challenge is turning good intentions into habits that fit the realities of everyday life, especially when life is busy, stressful, and constantly changing.

My interest in health and wellness coaching is both personal and professional. I've seen how chronic conditions and burnout can impact quality of life, and how difficult lasting change can be without the right support. I'm especially passionate about helping people build healthier habits while balancing busy lives, managing stress, and navigating the everyday demands that can make change feel overwhelming.

As a graduate of the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training Program, I combine an evidence-based, client-centered approach with specialized training in nutrition coaching, sleep, stress management and recovery, and plant-based nutrition. My coaching approach is grounded in compassion, behavior change science, and lifestyle medicine principles, helping clients make steady, meaningful progress toward better health without feeling overwhelmed.

Before becoming a health and wellness coach, I spent more than 25 years helping organizations better understand people's needs and create meaningful experiences through leadership roles in user experience, hospitality, and education. Earlier in my career, I also helped develop nutritious menu items and school nutrition programs for a health-focused restaurant group, giving me an early foundation in nutrition education, health promotion, and program development.

That human-centered background continues to shape how I coach today. I approach people with curiosity, listen deeply, meet them where they are, and help them create practical, sustainable strategies that fit the realities of everyday life.

What it's like to work together

Coaching is a collaborative process.

You won't be handed a rigid plan or expected to be perfect. Instead, we'll explore what's realistic for you, what's getting in the way, and how to build habits that fit your everyday life.

My role is to support and guide you as you build the awareness, confidence, and skills needed to create lasting change.

Whole-Person Wellbeing

Lasting health is about more than nutrition or exercise alone. It is shaped by the many interconnected areas of life that influence how we feel, live, and thrive.

Physical Health: nutrition, sleep, movement, and recovery
Mental & Emotional Wellbeing: mindset, stress management, and resilience
Relationships & Connection: support systems and social wellbeing
Environment: your home, workplace, and daily surroundings
Purpose & Fulfillment: alignment with your values and goals

Because lasting wellbeing isn't just about one area, it's about how everything works together. When these areas are out of balance, even the best nutrition or exercise plan falls flat. Coaching helps you see the full picture, identify what matters most, and focus your energy where it can make the greatest impact.

Insurance & HSA/FSA

Health coaching is not typically covered by insurance. However, in some cases, services may be eligible for reimbursement through HSA or FSA funds.

Eligibility can depend on your individual plan and often requires a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your healthcare provider. This typically applies when coaching is used to treat or prevent a specific medical condition or support a prescribed treatment plan.

Check directly with your insurance or HSA/FSA provider to confirm your benefits and requirements.

I'd be happy to provide documentation (such as invoices and program details) to support your reimbursement request.
