The story, approach, and philosophy behind Momentum Wellbeing

Helping you build sustainable habits for lifelong wellbeing

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to health and nutrition, curious about how the choices we make every day shape how we feel, function, and live.

Over time, I realized that knowing what to do is only part of the equation. The bigger challenge for most people is consistency, especially when life is full, stressful, and constantly changing.

That's what led me to health and wellness coaching and starting Momentum Wellbeing.

My interest in this work is both personal and professional. I've seen how chronic conditions and burnout impact quality of life, and how difficult lasting change can be without the right support. I'm especially passionate about working with individuals who are balancing busy lives, managing stress, or simply trying to feel better and more in control of their health and wellbeing.

To prepare for this work, I completed Mayo Clinic's Health & Wellness Coach Training Program and pursued additional training in nutrition coaching, sleep, stress management and recovery, and plant-based nutrition. My approach is grounded in evidence-based behavior change and lifestyle medicine principles, helping clients make steady, meaningful progress toward their goals without feeling overwhelmed.

Before moving into health coaching, I spent my career helping organizations understand people, solve complex problems, and create better experiences through hospitality leadership, marketing, and user experience strategy.

That background continues to shape how I coach today: listening deeply, understanding what matters most to each person, and creating realistic strategies that fit within the context of real life.

What its like to work together

Coaching is a collaborative process.

You won't be handed a rigid plan or expected to be perfect. Instead, together we'll explore what's realistic for you, what's getting in the way, and how to move forward in a way that feels sustainable.

My role is to support, guide, and help you build the awareness, confidence, and skills needed to create lasting change.

Whole-Person Wellbeing

Lasting health is about more than nutrition or exercise alone. It is shaped by the many interconnected areas of life that influence how we feel, function, and thrive.

Physical Health: nutrition, sleep, movement, and recovery
Mental & Emotional Wellbeing: mindset, stress management, and resilience
Relationships & Connection: support systems and social wellbeing
Environment: your home, workplace, and daily surroundings
Purpose & Fulfillment: alignment with your values and goals

Because lasting wellbeing isn't just about one area, it's about how everything works together. When these areas are out of balance, even the best nutrition or exercise plan falls flat. Coaching helps you see the full picture, identify what matters most, and focus your energy where it can make the greatest impact.

Insurance & HSA/FSA

Health coaching is not typically covered by insurance. However, in some cases, services may be eligible for reimbursement through HSA or FSA funds.

Eligibility can depend on your individual plan and often requires a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your healthcare provider. This typically applies when coaching is used to treat or prevent a specific medical condition or support a prescribed treatment plan.

Check directly with your insurance or HSA/FSA provider to confirm your benefits and requirements.

I'd be happy to provide documentation (such as invoices and program details) to support your reimbursement request.
